About Beth Ostendorf
I’m Beth and I believe movement is magic. What brings me joy is connecting with others in meaningful ways. Whether that be meditation, movement, being in nature, or simply listening to someone, the fundamental basis is connection.
I had my first encounter with yoga and has become a central and consistent part of my life ever since.
What started as a physical practice quickly unfolded into a holistic path that encompasses emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Yoga has been an immense source of meaning and support, and sharing its profound benefits has been an incredible honor.
My initial immersion into yoga took me to an ashram in northern India at a Sivananda Vedanta Center, where I absorbed the foundations of Hatha yoga. I soon followed this with a 300-hour Vinyasa YTT in the beautiful setting of Costa Rica with Awakened Life Yoga School.
My transition to teaching came after I had my two daughters. Pregnancy and motherhood were deeply impactful experiences, and yoga became my essential anchor during that time. Now, my passion is to pass that knowledge on to other women navigating similar journeys. I completed 75 hours of prenatal/postnatal YTT and am excited to offer specialized classes at Yoga Nest Venice.
To enhance my restorative offerings, I recently trained through the Total Nidra Network and now guide students through the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra sessions.
Astrid started practicing yoga in Vienna, Austria 18 years ago, where she was born and raised. Yoga brought balance to her sometimes ungrounded life of traveling and performing as an actor, singer and dancer. She moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and became a yoga teacher a few years later, in love with the spiritual aspect of connecting mind to body and movement to breath and the sense of stillness and strength in each pose. She has been teaching at the Yoga Nest since 2017. Her Vinyasa Flow classes are strong, slow and go deep, inviting students to show up fully, breath deeply and connect to their own sense of center and strength. Her goal is to empower, inspire and bring healing and grounding into each student’s day.
