About the Facilitator
This workshop is led by Amy Owen, a senior prenatal yoga instructor and DONA certified doula with over 18 years of experience supporting hundreds of families through pregnancy and birth. A dedicated birth activist, Amy has worked extensively to bring prenatal education and birth support to underserved communities throughout Chicago, including Cook County Jail, Northwestern Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, and HealthConnect One.
She is also the mother of three grown children and recently made her home in Los Angeles after many years in Chicago - bringing with her a deep well of wisdom, compassion, and lived experience.
